Winter NEWS
- Everything new is made in ... WINTER. Also this year the ski resort was extended by a new lift system. The cable car Monte Elmo Sesto, which has been in operation since 1981, is replaced by the new detachable premium 10-seater "HELMJET Sexten" gondola lift.
- In addition to the new lift system, there has been added a new slope to the ski resort. The blue slope "Moos-Sexten" leads from the Drei Zinnen slope to Monte Elmo. Thanks to this new slope the whole family can easily master the new ski connection between Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa.

Skiers’ Christmas 3 Zinnen
The sound of music, delicious food, magical sparkling lights. The 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski resort nestles in the snow-covered Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For another time it will be the one and only ski area in the world to dress up in fairy-tale Christmas costume.
Absolute nature experience
Experiencing five mountains in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites on skis? The “Giro delle Cime” makes it possible. In just one tour you can discover several peaks of the award-winning ski area and two provinces with different languages and cultures.
Ski Pustertal Express
With the Ski Val Pusteria express it only takes you 35 minutes to go from the ski resort 3 Zinnen Dolomites to the Plan de Corones. The train connects the two ski areas with each other. No more taking off your ski boots, no more tiresome car journeys, but pure nature and over 200 kilometres of slopes: This is the new ski dimension in South Tyrol.
Family highlights
Especially our youngest guests will feel right at home at the 3 Zinnen Dolomites ski resort. Children’s dreams will come true at the region’s top family mountain, the Baranci. This is the perfect spot for kids to ski into the valley from the top for the first time on a variety of slopes. Two sledging tracks on various mountains, the only reindeer herd in Italy, the imposing family of giant snowmen, and the cozy ski huts with their own kid’s menus round out the offerings available to families in the 3 Zinnen Dolomites.
Sledging - Fun at every turn
You’ll have fun at every turn on one of the two sledging runs on different mountains. Our cable cars and lifts will take care of the challenging part, namely transporting the sledge uphill. That means you can fully concentrate on the joy of sledging. Snow machines ensure that the sledging runs are snow covered even when winter is not on our side!
The only reindeer herd of the Alps lives at the Croda Rossa. Every week there are interactive feedings where the reindeers can be experienced up close. Also at Croda Rossa you can find the family of the giant snowmen
Insider tip
Nine hours of skiing are not enough? No problem! The slopes of the Monte Baranci can be conquered every Tuesday and Friday while night skiing and sledging until 10 pm.

Reindeer feeding

Italy’s only reindeer herd are the famous, local stars of the vast preserve at the Croda Rossa. Feeling homey in the wild nature of the 3 Zinnen Dolomites, the shaggy animals provide amusing and fascinating encounters, even on the ski slopes sometimes.
The reindeer feeding at the Croda Rossa cable car mountain station is not only an unforgettable winter highlight for kids. Visitors may lend a helping hand when the smallest reindeer herd of the Alps gets its main course consisting of islandic moss and the “reindeer bonbons”, which are mixed grain balls, for dessert.
Night skiing & tobogganing
Tuesday & Friday | from 7 pm until 10 pm
Monte Baranci is bathed in floodlight from 7-10pm in a world cup suitable atmosphere, providing both superlative night skiing and sledging down the 3 km sledging run. Also the Rifugio Gigante Baranci mountain hut is open and provides you with local delicacies.
