Having grown up in the hotel as the son of the house, Christian learned the true meaning of hospitality from an early age. Surrounded by family, guests and everyday hotel life, he discovered that being a host is not just a profession, but a way of life. Together with his sister Sonja, he has taken over the family hotel from their parents and now leads it with passion, dedication and a clear vision for the future while preserving everything that makes it so special.

Most of our guests first meet Christian at the reception desk. He welcomes everyone with a warm smile, always taking the time to listen, offer advice or simply enjoy a friendly conversation. Whether it's recommending the most beautiful hiking trails, suggesting hidden gems in the area or helping with any request, Christian is always happy to help. For him, hospitality comes straight from the heart. His greatest wish is for every guest to leave with wonderful memories and the desire to return.

While his sister Sonja expertly manages reservations, restaurant seating and the daily organisation of the hotel, Christian is the creative mind behind many of the hotel's developments. His head is always full of new ideas. Renovations, improvements, fresh concepts, the website, brochures and countless other projects all reflect his passion and creativity. His goal is to keep improving the hotel while preserving its unique charm and welcoming atmosphere.

Yet you will rarely find him sitting behind a desk.

Christian is wherever he is needed—helping in the restaurant, watering flowers in the garden, taking care of maintenance or even preparing guest rooms during busy arrival and departure days. He never sees himself simply as the owner, but as part of the team, leading by example and working alongside everyone else.

His philosophy is simple:

"We work together. We support one another—for our hotel and for our guests."

That spirit of teamwork is something our guests can feel every single day.

As devoted as Christian is to the hotel, his greatest happiness is his family. His wife Sabine and their two sons are his greatest pride and the centre of his life. They give him strength, inspiration and the motivation to give his very best every day.
